Chairman Christopher Waldron said: ‘It is increasingly likely there will be a general election before the end of the year, which has the potential to result in a business-unfriendly Labour-led administration.
‘It is hardly surprising, therefore, that international investors have reduced their exposure to UK assets to historically low levels.’
